250th Anniversary: People Who Shaped Our Nation

• Norma Shirk is the founder and CEO of Corporate Compliance Risk Advisor, an HR compliance and risk mitigation consultant.  Her company helps small to mid-sized businesses reduce the risk of non-compliance with applicable employment laws.  She is an attorney licensed in Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado who transitioned to giving business advice when she founded Corporate Compliance Risk Advisor in 2011. 

  
  

• She is a frequent speaker on employment issues, as well as historical topics.  Her publications include Psycho Bosses and Obnoxious Coworkers(2018) and Things Go Wrong: Legal Minefields that Business Owners Hate But Have to Deal With (2023).  She also writes a monthly history blog, History by Norma (available at www.normashirk.com).

She currently serves on the board of directors of:
